Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Rhino Scholar.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Upload content that infringes others’ rights or violates applicable law.
• Use the service to generate spam, malware, or misleading content.
• Resell or sublicense the service without our written permission.

Your content

You retain ownership of the documents, notes, and other content you create or upload. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, and display your content so we can deliver the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use any content you upload.

AI-generated content

Rhino Scholar uses AI to assist with writing, search, and citation tasks. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and properly citing any AI-assisted output before relying on it in academic, professional, or published work.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Prices are shown exclusive of VAT or other applicable taxes, which are calculated and added at checkout based on your location.

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan & usage. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep access until then and are not charged again. It does not retroactively refund the current period.

Changing your plan — to a higher or lower tier, or between monthly and yearly billing — cancels your current subscription immediately and starts the new one right away. Any unused credits or remaining days on the old plan are forfeited and are not prorated or refunded, and you pay for the new plan at checkout. See our Refund Policy for details.

Service availability

We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paying customers.

Termination

You may stop using Rhino Scholar at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to the service or other users.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rhino Scholar is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
